RETIRED ENDURANCE HORSES

NARMOND SILVER GIFT

Narmond Silver Gift

The start of a great love affair with endurance, together we learnt so much regarding management of the elite equine athlete.  Very fast individual & way better than I ever was!  At the age of 18 years of age he was still winning events over 120km, completely sound & fit & enjoying his work he was retired to assist raising future endurance stars.

Silver’s career spanned 14 years which included highlights such as 6th Lwt place Boonah Tom Quilty, 5th place Shahzada marathon plus many wins & BC awards in rides of 80km, 120km and 160km.

AGECROFT SAHARA
click on name

Agecroft Sahara Agecroft Sahara

The toughest and gutsiest mare, she was never destined to have a long endurance career due to aggressive melanoma’s and retired early after first receiving a Quilty buckle.  After 6 years in retirement I still miss the challenges she would present at every opportunity when riding her, typical thinking/smart Alpha mare.  Perhaps her best performance was winning the State Championship ride and then taking out both Best Conditioned and Best Managed Awards at the same event!  Sahara is Dam to our future sire Pioneer Park Wings of Sudan

PHARSLEE AMANI (exp)

Pharslee Amani Pharslee Amani Pharslee Amani

One of the nicest Princeton (dec) mares on the endurance circuit she performed consistently and eagerly.  Completing 2 marathon rides and taking 3rd Lwt – 10th Overall and Best Conditioned at the Tasmanian Tom Quilty Gold Cup.  Amani was sold then exported and is still competing soundly in endurance in the Emirates.
